The Velvet Note is an award-winning, beautifully-appointed listening room that is located in Alpharetta/Johns Creek, Georgia. It showcases exceptional musical talent to the accompaniment of great food, drinks, and service.  At The Velvet Note, guests will always enjoy the feel of the private, intimate concert as well as the up-close-and-personal conversation. 

Due to the fact that The Velvet Note was designed by musicians for musicians, its listening room was meticulously designed by acoustic design engineer George Seldon to provide the purest vocal and instrumental reception that is available to a live audience. George Seldon is a protégée of the great George Lucas. 

The Velvet Note is open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is quickly increasing in visibility as one of the most unique things to do near Atlanta.  Since 2015, the Velvet Note was has been consistently named one of the 100 best jazz clubs in the world, and also the best Jazz Club in Georgia! The Velvet Note is the ONLY jazz club in the area of Atlanta that has never charged a drink or food minimum.  

The Velvet Note has  a full bar and full restaurant. They always serve their award-winning cuisine on the finest of palm leaf wooden plates.  They serve on palm leaf plates because they want you to hear music, not the clang of silverware hitting ceramic.

The Velvet Note is currently welcoming guests in-house and is streaming all of their shows for customers who want to enjoy live music during these difficult times. The live-streaming schedule can be found on their website page. 

The Velvet Note offers southern seafood cuisine and emphasizes accessible, yet upscale dining. Guests of The Velvet Note can enjoy the savory and sweet selections before and throughout their show.  The Velvet Note chef specializes in creating the perfect bite—-the most flavorful and intense mouthful of your favorite seasonal offerings from the highest quality vegetables, meats, fruits and seafood that are available . They use clean and simple recipes that use the freshest ingredients and are sustainably sourced. All  of the items that are on the menu are made fresh by Tamara Fuller who is the in-house Executive Chef and Owner.  The bar at The Velvet Note includes wine, beer, and super-premium-brand spirits.
